Same great breakfast after which we went to TBay to do some shopping and sit at a Starbucks in a Safeway store and start this blog. Now you know how behind events these entries are.
Finnish immigrants were some of the earliest residents of the city so there are a couple of Finnish restaurants. We thought it was probably our only chance to try Finnish food so we went to this place called Hoito House. Imagine the dining room in a seniors home with the counter from a dingy donut shop grafted on to it and you sort of have an idea of the ambience. Lorraine had meatballs in mushroom gravy and I had giant wieners sliced and seared served with mashed potatoes and veg.

Pretty exotic, this Finnish fare. I was hoping for fermented shark.
